The real problem
It was never a knowledge problem.
Do you know that many nurses don't leave the profession because they lack knowledge? They leave because the transition feels overwhelming.
“What if I miss something?”
School taught you the content — not the weight of holding it alone.
“I don't know what to prioritize.”
Six patients, six needs, no clear system for who you see first.
“I'm scared to speak up.”
Calling a provider is a different skill than passing an exam.
“Am I a burden to my team?”
Asking well, early, is exactly what keeps patients safe.

Meet your facilitator
Built by a nurse who remembers exactly how the first year feels.
Nancy is a dedicated nurse educator with over a decade of hands-on clinical experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, and neuro nursing. Safe Start is the program she built to give new and immigrant nurses the rehearsal she wishes she'd had for her own first year.
"Our mission is to develop nurses from knowledge to competent, safe, and confident practitioners who can thrive in today's demanding healthcare settings while delivering high-quality patient care."

The shift
Imagine walking into your first shift prepared, not anxious.
Join safestart transition to nursing practice program.

Before
- Freezing when an assignment feels like too much
- Guessing at what to escalate, and when
- Rehearsing what to say to a provider — and stumbling
After
- Triaging a full patient load with a system you trust
- Escalating early and clearly, no second-guessing
- Giving a clean SBAR handoff without notes
What you get
Four things school doesn't teach directly.
Clinical judgment & prioritization
Rehearse real triage calls until 'who do I see first' is a system, not a guess.
Hear from our nurses
The anxiety is real. So is the shift.
Your nursing career deserves more than survival.
It deserves confidence.
It deserves preparation.
It deserves support.
